What I Thought...

I actually really enjoyed using this product, I know I am a harsh critic and reviewer and if I am 100% honest, it takes a lot for a product to impress me, this is because I formulate all my own skincare and I know what works best for me. This product I did enjoy using and I have actually got two tubs of this now, my first one which is very nearly gone (I never review a product unless it has all gone or until I have used it for no less than 31 days.) and I have a brand new unopened tub. I am not using it right now because I have stopped usage to write this review and I am currently testing another natural exfoliator to review for my blog, but saying and confessing that I have another tub ready to use after my reviewing process is over is a GOOD thing, as most of you will know I am very harsh on products.

The claims this exfoliator states...
Reduce wrinkle depth up to 27%
Can repair damage up to 25%
Will brighten, liven and revive skin.

I think at first it was the claims that had me hooked and of course the product itself being 100% natural really helps it in my eyes as that's what i truly love, not to forget to mention that 90% of those ingredients are certified organic too... impressive.

Another big claim is that the product contains CoQ10 which you may know as Q10,  this vitamin is naturally found in the body, in every cell, it produces energy that your body needs for new cell growth and maintenance. Along with beauty claims, this vitamin also has loads of health benefits, you can take this vitamin as a supplement and is even said to prevent cancer, but there are many many claims and information you can find if you do your research otherwise I will be here rambling all day about this vitamin rather than the product itself.

So I must admit it was, at first, the claims and the ingredients that got me hooked onto this product. After using it for a while it became one of those products that i could not put down. Its pink, its in pretty packaging (looks pretty) if that type of thing grabs your attention? I am normally not so fussed on petty packaging but more about the product itself and the results, but this definitely does look pretty in the bathroom.

The product itself is a very light pink with the 'bits', just like you would expect with an exfoliator. It has a very light watermelon scent but is not overpowering in the slightest.
It states on the directions to put on and leave on before washing off but I cannot help myself and have to have a little rub about just like you would usually do with an exfoliator but I guess this is personal preference and how you like things to feel and work. It does state that if you leave it on, it acts like a mask.

It is not a strong product and is in fact very light, I have oily skin that is prone to blocked pores but I really did enjoy this product and will continue to use this as an everyday product but I would use one of my own formulated exfoliators about 3 times a week or when I do a mini facial as I do feel I need something a little more gritty or one that has stronger ingredients in that suit oily skin types.

If you have normal skin or especially if you are starting to worry about wrinkles then I would love to recommend this product to you. I wouldn't use this for those who have oily skin or blemished skin as an everyday product as I just feel you would need something a bit 'stronger' in product term, like myself. I think at the age I am now (25) it helps to add even a little bit of anti ageing regime into my skincare steps so yes I believe this product is a keeper. Click below to see this product online.

Judith Jackson Spa, Natural Citresse Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Judith Jackson Spa, Natural Citresse Shampoo and Conditioner Review

What Is It?...

Citresse Shampoo 8 oz - Natural essences of orange, grapefruit & lime enhanced with vitamin C and panthenol. Cleanses and adds shine and life to your hair as you shampoo. Contain no parabens or sodium laural sulphate. 8 oz.
$13.00

Citresse Conditioner 8 oz - The perfect compliment to Citresse Shampoo. The Citresse Conditioner contains the same Citrus essences with added jojoba for hair manageability and body. 8 oz.
$13.50

Ingredients:

I couldn't find the full ingredient list of the products online so I have emailed the company.
Since writing this review and awaiting an Email back from the company...
But so farIi know these product contain no SLS and parabens which makes me happy, but.... It does contain Panthenol and if you have no knowledge of ingredients, Panthanol is a lab based ingredient which as you will know I am not a huge fan of! It has been rumored to ruin curls, dry hair out and leave waxy build up on the hair. (Carry on reading to find out my thoughts and experience).
I have not received a reply from them, I used the contact form on the website and have not hear anything which I feel is pretty bad considering I am a customer.... Maybe they don't want to give me the rest of the ingredients?
If the company do email me back i will update this information.

What I Thought...

With more and more people online shopping these days I feel it is extremely important for companies to list the full use of ingredients on their websites, it is especially important for those who have an allergy or stay way from certain ingredients like myself to know this information and since we are not 'shopping off the shelf' we cannot see the information for ourselves unless it is clearly listed!

The shampoo and conditioner do have a lovely citrus smell to them but not overpowering like you may first think, its a very subtle scent and to be honest, a little too subtle for me. The shampoo did cleanse and the conditioner I feel was a bit disappointing.
I have very long natural hair with half a head of blond highlights, my hair was damaged a few years ago from over bleaching and now I am on the mend, this means no SLS products, no styling products, no heat and extra extra loving care! The state of my hair is obviously much better then a few years ago and i actually love it now, it is a great length, thickness, great condition, lovely colour and I do not have to add heat to it to get it to look nice, I love my natural hair. So yes, it is not as dry as it was before but I still like to use products for dry/damaged hair or for just healthy hair in general, the products I have been using recently have worked wonder,s but sadly when I switched to this Judith Jackson brand I just felt my hair was clean but boring, it did not particularly add any shine or lively hair like stated on the website so I am a little disappointed in these products. Because I do not know the full list of ingredients it is hard for me to pin point what is wrong with this product for my hair but I do believe the Panthenol has not helped my hair, it feels dryer then usual, I can actually feel a waxy texture to it (I hate this as my usual natural hair care is so intense and amazing, they make my hair feel like silk without disturbing my curls) and my curls are not as defined, I am also worried about the waxy build up on my hair. When I do a review on my blog I always want it to be 100% honest so I always use products till the bottle/tub is empty or that I have used it for no less than 31 days. but this shampoo and conditioner was only used once every two weeks, I only wash my hair once a week as that's all it needs as I do not like stripping my hair of its natural oils etc but I felt the products were not good enough for my hair and actually made my hair feel worse than usual so every week in between I would switch back to my normal shampoo and conditioner, the bottles are now of course empty and i can write my review but I did not enjoy these products and I would not buy these products for personal use.

My recommendation is, if you have normal hair and don't like overpowering scents then this product will be nice for you. If you have thick, curly, chemically treated hair or damaged hair then this product will not be good enough for you hair. But please be aware that the company has failed to even email me back about an inquiry of ingredients, think what you may of that but I am annoyed for two reasons, first of all I have had no response and I am a customer and second of all, why have they not emailed me back? it makes me think they have bad ingredients to hide (Otherwise why are they not listed on sit?).

I don't like being a little mean about a product but I will always give my honest thoughts and experiences.

HOW DO I USE IT?
Apply all the time. Anywhere. Perfect for trips.

What I thought...

The product looks fantastic! The colour is amazing for a natural product, there is NO synthetic colourants in this product which really is truly amazing, the blue colour is so vibrant.  It looks how it tastes... Yummy!

This product does contain Beeswax so for Vegans or people who do not agree with using beeswax, it may not be a product for you.

I really like this product however. I am vegetarian and do not agree with using animal ingredients in products, beeswax I will not use myself in products that I make but I don't have a problem with it in products that I buy.
I like how the lip balm looks, I like the ingredients and I like the feel it gives to my lips! I have been using this product everyday for approx 4 months now and I still have a tad bit left that I expect will last me another month or so!

You can buy this product from HERE
